Before It All Happened

On their wedding day, Nathan and Amelia each find a box outside their door with a single white rose inside. Nathan touches his and wakes up years ahead, on a train with a woman he does not know, while the wife he has not married yet calls to ask why he left.

What follows is a getaway with Layla, a phone that keeps lighting up with Amelia, and a photo of two children he has never met. When the rose lets him go, he is back in the church minutes before the ceremony, and nothing is quite where he left it.

Made during the pandemic

Shot in the North East of England during the COVID pandemic, under NHS rules for film sets. Everyone on set was tested before anything was filmed, which made every shoot day harder to plan and to run.
